Tue. 9-17-13 - Email from Cade

Hey everybody!

 So this week has been kind of crazy. We had zone conference on thursday, which was very excellent. After that our zone had to serve at a cancer survivor birthday party. So that day was mucho crazy. The party made me miss grandma bonnie! it was kinda sad! I saw the Guns at the conference, so that was cool i saw somebody from back home, they say hi by they way! So here is the deal, me and elder gayan were horsing around on sunday or saturday i forget, and we accidentally broke the window in the front of the apartment....... elder gayan just backed up into it and the glass broke! dadgummit. so i am going to have to pay for that me and him. we felt so bad after that! So transfers are next wednesday, and i find out whether i am transferared or not on saturday night so that is getting my nerves up in a twist! We went top the temple today! it was very good and spiritual. i love the new movie! I always love going to the temple. when i get home i will definitely be going a lot more! We have a baptism for saturday!!!!!!!!!!!! yayayayay!. we are baptizing a mother and her 3 girls! its the investigators who moved down from modesto! so they were a huge miracle for us! Other than that i need a side bag or a murse hahahah! mom can you please just order one off amazon and put the shipping address for the mission office. we can pick one out for me! haha just make sure its leather , so it is heavy duty! I got my package! i love the videos haha! i miss daisy believe it or not! And i love my picture book! and definitely the flower! anyway i love all of you with all my heart! keep up the prayers and reading!

9-10-13 - Letter from Cade - on TUESDAY

So, we didn't get a letter from Cade on P-Day.  He said he was too busy.  BUSY IS GOOD!  So, I am so glad I heard from him on Tuesday.  It's awesome, because I get a chance to chat back and forth a bit with Cade through emails if we are on at the same time.

Hey Family!!!
Last week was an ok week. We had some investigators that moved down
from modesto that were being taught up there, so we got them and they
have dates for the 21 of September so that should go good. They are
super solid investigators! we have a lady named nancy she lives with
people she has no clue about so we go pick her up from work, take her
to a members home and then we teach her and take her home! it was a
sketchy referral but it turned out that she is being baptized on the
15 of December! Then we got surgeon steve, the one that I stepped in
on doing surgery he has bad w.o.w problems! and then we are teaching
our miracle family which I have told you about, andf then we are
teaching Juanita and her to girls! we are also teaching two big black
southern ladies hahah they are just the funniest investigators we
have! One of them always has a dip of chew in her mouth . I think it
is Hilarious. I really haven't been eating anything crazy so that is
good. Just dadgum nasty salmon with the skin still on it!!!!! that's
poopy that caleb doesn't play a lot I feel bad for him! I couldn't
stand it if I didn't play! That's funny Keisha got dressed up for
nothing! she was just excited for her first dance. Kassidy will be a
viola wizard when I get back home! I super excited for KC he will love
it.Thats cool that you went with him to the temple! he looks very
happy! I bet he cant wait to leave on his mission because all of his
buds are gone ! transfers are coming up in 2 weeks, so it will be
interesting to see where I get transferred too. or if I will stay with
elder gayan! Anyway I love all of you guys. Keep reading the
scriptures and saying your prayers. Oh yeah I finished the book of
Mormon already! So that was good, I love you.

I also found out that he has a chance to play basketball every week at 6 am.  I also thought it was hilarious that he called the guy Surgeon Steve.  HA HA  Cade is funny!

He also said:  Tell dad I love him more! I sent him a letter this week! Even tho he
hates writing me letters haha! I try to always stay positive we have a
lot of baptisms coming up in the next couple weeks! so just pray that
they will go through! I am doing a lot better at talking to everyone
and when I barely meet them, inviting them to be baptized!  so I am
getting comfortbal with that!

9-02-13 - P-Day (Labor Day)

Hey Family!!

We were sooo close to having a baptism!! we were going to baptize juanitas two girls clarissa and anabel! but they canceled that morning dad gummit! we are teaching a guy named jerry with a 180 pound dog! haha it is pretty cool! i am sooo glad julies baptism went amazing that is so awesome! i am soo happy for her! i wish i was there to see it! it was fun picking grapes except for all the spiders hahah! that was pretty scary! my cut is just on my leg so it wasn't that bad!  this week was crazy, we were riding our bikes on the side of the road pretty fast and i decided to rub my tire on elder gayans back tire and my tire caught and it like made me do a face plant on the ground and if it wasn't for my helmet i would have got a broken nose!!! my shirt was all black! and i have the biggest bruise on my ever it covers the whole front of my shin and wraps around my calf it is a big ouchy elder gayan and the guy in the car behind me were laughing there heads off! another one is it was me and an elder that has been out for 2 weeks iwe were driving and we stopped at this guys house and we knocked on the door he came out and said that it wasnt a good time because he was performing a surgery, and he opened the door to show us and this chick has got this big black guys leg cut open and they were like digging in his leg! mom that was the weirdest funniest thing ever to just see a dude doing surgery in some guys house because they are so poor! haha thats visalia for ya! anyway i am glad caleb get some playing time!!!! i doubt they will beat juan diego tho because they are extremely good!! how are they mormon messages going? and can you send me some elk jerky pretty please? oh and some caffeine free dr pepper??" hahaha !!! i love you guys sooo much! Keep up the good work being an example to everybody and have a fun labor day and week!!

8-27-13 - Cade's Letter

Okay, so I didn't get a letter yesterday.  And, I was sitting at the computer working today, when I got an email from Cade telling me to check my other email.  I was so excited, 'cuz I was so bummed that we didn't get an email from him yesterday.  I was hoping that everything was okay, because I know he is kind of close to the fires in California.  So, here is the letter he sent today.

Hey family
This last week has picked up a  bit we had 6 of our investigators come to church on sunday! we didn't
have any baptisms tho:( but we have 2 scheduled for Saturday! we went
and picked some grapes at the churches vineyard that supplies all the
bishops storehouses with raisins! I have pictures I will seend I cut
my self because a dadgum spider almost jumped on me hahahaha! Monday
the whole city of Visalia power went out and we were clear up north in
the getto so we just decide3d to bike home so that was pretty scary!
haha its poopy that caleb doesn't start! just tell him to work his
butt off to get that spot!! other than that how is school for the
kids?? The uniforms for the football team look super sweet!! I am
excited to hear more about calebs games and how he does! anyway I love
all of you! keep reading your scriptures and saying your prayers! my
favorite chapter in the Book Of Mormon is 3rd nephi 11!! I am getting
close to finishing the book of Mormon again!!! haha Love Always Elder

Another email he sent...same day!
another thing the Williams boys names are chuck and blair! so I don't
know if you know them or not but it would be cool if you did!! anyways
mom I love you and tell the family I love them too! talks are
easy for me my companion has just put on the spot many times so I am
getting use to it haha its not a big deal anymore! but pray for me and
pray that I can baptize this wek haha I love you!!

This week has been another slower week! all of our baptism dates fell through so thats really hard! we were suppose to have 15 at sacrament on sunday But we only had 4 so there is another bummer.  Anyway it sounds like you are so glad that the kids are in school! hahaha Football practice makes me miss playing football because we are right by the school! so that is kind of a bummer but it is ok! My bike got fixed for free the crank bent and then the pedal bent! i guess i am just a big boy haha! the guy said he has never had any problem with the crank bending! it has been over 95 degrees this whole week so that is poopy! i have been sweating puddles! other than that i have been losing weight and i am getting skinner i run a mile every day in the morning so thats good and once a week we play basketball which is fun! Do you rememeber the williams from pingry idaho????? they remember the mortimers and they are serving here in visalia so that is pretty cool! any way i love you guys soooooo much! keep reading your scriptures and saying prayers and the lord will bless you!!  I couldn't figure out what this was a picture of until I asked him yesterday.  We couldn't tell if it was a spider bit, or what.  ha ha  It is a chapstick welt.  I guess him and his companion have Chapstick wars.  ?????  HA HA HA
