This week Has been eventful! on thursday
i ate little nasty grasshoppers at this spanish families house! they
were stinking nasty! they were little baby ones shipped to him by his mom in mexico! haha the kids were eating them like candy! haha elder mcgovern is doing well!
he is already
participating in lessons and is striving to be the best he can be! the only thing he knows how to
cook is bread nothing else! so i have had to teach him to cook haha!
which makes me grateful for my parents teaching me how to cook! we have a
baptism coming up on saturday
which is pretty sweet! we have just been trying to find new
investigators! we are in a slump of finding right now! we are teaching
this black man and this little white girl that told us they love to
smoke weed! so we taught them the word of wisdom and he is sincere! but
he told us the other night that he cant quit smoking and then i pulled
out 1 nephi 3:7 and then mosiah 2:24!
which helped him realize! but other than that! its been the same old
same old! oh and my bike is broken from crashing from that white dog! i
popped a spoke and my rim is bent! so that stinks! just always remember!
our work begins on our knees!!!

Hey Everyone!!
This week has been full of good times. Training has really opened my eyes. I have learned so much and it is so cool to see how much you have grown. My new companion is Elder Winder from Orem, Utah. He's the first person in his family to serve a mission. He's awesome! His Frist lesson was with a guy named Patrick. He's 52 years old and looks a little rough. He has been homeless and grew up in N.J. He's really awesome and has a desire to change his life. Elder Winder told me after the lesson that it scared the crap out of him. He said the whole lesson I was thinking, "What am I getting myself into." It was so funny! I remember feeling exactly like that and it has really made me realize how much I have grown. I am so humbled to know that God has trusted me enough to train Elder Winder.
Now to the Push-Up Battle. On Saturday we stopped by the same man(Patrick) to invite him to come to church. He told us not this week so we got talking more and he said, "I look pretty strong for 52 years old huh?" I said, Yeah you do look pretty strong for 52 but if I beat you in Push-Ups you have to come to church with us next week. Just come check it out, We know that it will bless you life. He agreed. He got down and did 15. Elder Winder told him that I had to do 30 so I did. Patrick is coming to church next week. We have a lesson with him on thursday so his reasoning for coming to church will hopefully change by then. It was so fun. He's a great guy. I know that God loves all of his children and that he knows what we need. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I love you all and hope you have a great week.
